Meeting with representatives of municipalities March 19-24th 2009 |

JTS held meetings with contact persons in municipalities and representatives of tourism organizations, utility companies - Komunalno preduzeće, institutions in culture, NGOs etc. in eligible area of Cross-border Programme Croatia-Montenegro:
• Herceg Novi at 19.03. at 10:30h
• Tivat 20.03. at 11:00 h
• Bar 23.03. at 11:00 h
• Ulcinj 23.03. at 13:00 h
• Cetinje 24.03 at 11:00 h
Agenda of the meetings was:
1. Inform them about current and planned activities after publication of Call of proposals
2. Information about developing of project ideas
3. Answering the questions related to Programme
On meeting representatives of municipalities informed JTS about establishment of project teams consisted from representatives of municipality, JKP, emergency service, tourism organization, institutions in culture and educations, NGOs, etc.
Coordinators of these teams will be representatives of municipalities delegated by Mayors on meetings held with JTS in October and November 2008. Scopes of these teams are preparation of project proposals for all current and future IPA Programmes.
Representatives of JTS have informed participants about planned activities of JTS, and answered the questions related to Programme.
Conclusion of the meetings is that potential applicants with project ideas and established cross-borders partners continue with project proposals preparation. Others will have chance to establish cross-border partnerships and exchange project ideas on the next Partner search forum planed in Croatia.

JTS has taken a part on round table "EU fund in development and employment role" |

JTS has taken a part on round table on 3th March 2009, with subject "EU fund in development and employment role ". Round table was a part of Second Job Fair organized by Croatian employment service. During the event few of presentations made a short overview on projects that were (or are) implemented on Dubrovnik area. Presentations were made by town Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik University, Chamber of economy, Regional Development Agency and Croatian employment centre. JTS has made a short announcement of our future activities since majority of participants were present at PSF at Igalo. |

 Partner Search Forum that was held on 17th February 2009 in Igalo was the first Partner Search Forum within this programme and 140 participants from Croatia and Montenegro have taken part at this event.
Participants were representatives from ministries, municipalities, public institutions and public enterprises, organizations for regional development, cultural and educational institutions, NGOs and touristic organizations from Croatia and Montenegro.
Ratka Sekulović, Secretary assistant of Secretary for European Integration of Montenegro and Ivo Žinić, Head of Direction for Integrated Regional Development within the Ministry of Regional Developments, Forestry and Water Management of Croatia have addressed to all participants with the introduction words in the name of Forum organizers. Also as representatives of neighbor municipalities in introduction part have participated Head of Herceg Novi, Dejan Mandić and Manager of direction for international relations and EU integrations of Dubrovnik Neretva County, Aida Cvjetković.
 Along with the agenda after the introduction part a short presentation of IPA Cross-Border Programme Croatia – Montenegro has been presented as well as Joint Technical Secretariat and its duties and work.
Main focus of this Forum was 4 thematic workshops with following subjects: environment protection, tourism, cultural and local initiatives- small cross border projects. During those workshops participants had opportunity for sharing their project ideas as well as establishing quality contacts with potential future partners.
 As a conclusion of Partner Search Forum a short results of all workshops have been presented and event was closed with answering of a few quarries of participants.
We thank all participants for joining this event and we hope many fruitful partnerships will be born from this first Partner Search Forum. Until new time! JTS

Welcome on the site of the IPA Cross-border co-operation programme Croatia-Montenegro 2007-2013. This programme is co-funded by the European Union under the Component II (cross-border cooperation) of the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA) and by the government of the two countries.
The cross-border programme Croatia-Montenegro 2007-2013 was prepared jointly by the two countries and approved by the European Commission in December 2007.
The global objective of the programme is to improve the quality of life in the cross border area between Croatia and Montenegro.
It should create favorable environmental and socio-economic conditions by improvement of the co-operation and good neighborly relations in the eligible areas in two countries. |
