The First Call for proposals closed

The First Call for Proposals (CfP) within the Cross-Border Programme Croatia-Montenegro is closed on November 18, 2009.

The applicants will be officially informed on every step of the evaluation process.

Information sessions finished

Total of 67 representatives of NGOs, counties, cultural, educational and other organizations and institutions from Croatia (Dubrovnik, Korčula, Metković, Opuzen, Ploče, Samobor, Slano, Split, Trogir, Zagreb), Montenegro (Bar, Kotor, Podgorica, Tivat), Slovenia (Ljubljana) and even New Zeeland (Auckland) took part on the last two Info days in Croatia in Dubrovnik on September 10 and Opuzen on September 11, organized in the frame of the IPA Cross-border programme Croatia - Montenegro, 2007-2013.

On behalf of the Programme Operation structures, they were greeted by Mrs Ines Gotovuša, National coordinator of this Programme in the Ministry for Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Croatia and Mr. Darko Kasalica, National Coordinator of the Programme in the Ministry for European Integration of Montenegro. On behalf of the Delegation of the European Commission to Montenegro, the participants were greeted by Mr Enrique Aguado Asenjo, Task Manager for Democratic Stabilization in the Operations Section in the Delegation. They also provided detailed answers to the questions that participants have risen during the Info days.

The Info days were organized by the Joint Technical Secretariat of the Programme, in cooperation with the Ministry for Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Croatia and the Ministry for European Integration of Montenegro.

They were the last ones in the series of Information sessions that took part in Montenegro and in Croatia. The Joint Technical Secretariat as usually practiced during these sessions, delivered detailed information on the Programme procedures and presented the key documents of the Application package: Guidelines for applicants, Logic Matrix, Application form and Budget.

Potential applicants have found all presentation detailed and useful. The general opinion is that all information that had been given during the Info days, are very helpful in preparation of project proposals and filling in all necessary documents.

All questions raised, together with the answers will be published in the FAQ section on the web-sites of the Programme (www.cbccro-mne.org), of the Ministry for European Integration of Montenegro (www.mei.gov.me), of the Ministry for Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Croatia (www.mrrsvg.hr), of the European Commission (www.ec.europa.eu/europeaid/work/funding/index_en.htm), as well as on the web-site of electronic Forum of cross-border and transnational programmes where Montenegro is participating (www.cbc-mne.org).

35 potential applicants attended

The second Info Day organized within the frame of the IPA Cross Border Programme Croatia - Montenegro 2007-2013 took place in the Small Hall of Bar Municipality, on September 3rd, 2009. This event also attracted the big interest of potential applicants - 35 representatives from institutions and organizations from Bar, Budva, Nikšić, Podgorica, Ulcinj, Vurpazar, as well as one French association, took part.

The Info Day was organized and run by the programme's Joint Technical Secretariat in cooperation with the Ministry for Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Croatia and the Ministry for European Integration of Montenegro, following announcement of the first Call for Project Proposals. Participants were greeted by Mrs. Ratka Sekulović, Chief of the Department for Cross-Border Programmes at the Ministry for European Integration of Montenegro and Mr. Enrique Aguado Asenjo, Task Manager for Democratic Stabilization - Operations Section as representative from the Delegation of the European Commission to Montenegro.

After the welcoming speeches were given, the Joint Technical Secretariat provided detailed information about the programme's Procedures, presented the key documents forming the Application Package, namely: the Guidelines for Applicants, Application Form, Budget and Logical Framework Matrix, and explained how they should be filled completed. The info day was concluded with a Questions and Answers session, in which  participants received detailed answers to questions posed regarding the principles of co-financing, sustainability of projects, budgeting, evaluation criteria etc. All questions raised together with the answers given will be uploaded onto the web-sites of the Programme, of the Operating Structures and of the European Commission (Frequently Asked Questions or FAQ section).

The final two Info Days within the frame of this Programme and this Call will take place in Croatia, and will be held in Dubrovnik and Opuzen, on September 10th and 11th, 2009 respectively.

Immense interest shown in first Call for Project Proposals

On August 31st, 2009, the Kotor Municipality Hall was completely filled with interested potential applicants, who came to participate in the Info Day organized within the frame of the IPA Cross Border Programme Croatia - Montenegro 2007-2013. The Info Day was organized and run by the programme's Joint Technical Secretariat in cooperation with the Ministry for Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Croatia and the Ministry for European Integration of Montenegro, following announcement of the first Call for Project Proposals on August 21st, 2009.

On behalf of the programme's Operating Structures, the audience was greeted by Mrs Ines Gotovuša, National Coordinator for this programme at the Ministry for Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Croatia and by Mrs. Ratka Sekulović, Chief of the Department for Cross-Border Programmes at the Ministry for European Integration of Montenegro. A welcoming speech was also given Mr. Enrique Aguado Asenjo, Task Manager for Democratic Stabilization - Operations Section as representative from the Delegation of the European Commission to Montenegro.


The Joint Technical Secretariat provided detailed information about the programme's Procedures and presented the key Documents forming the Application Package, namely: the Guidelines for Applicants, Application Form, Budget and Logical Framework Matrix. After each presentation was given, participants were encouraged to ask questions of interest to them concerning the programme application and selection process and which were immediately answered, often exhaustively by the representatives of the Operating Structures, the Delegation of the European Commission to Montenegro and the Joint Technical Secretariat. The potential applicants were interested to learn about a range of issues, including: co-financing, partnership, budgeting and other technical and administrative aspects of the application procedures. All questions raised together with the answers given will be uploaded onto the various web-sites of the Programme (Frequently Asked Questions or FAQ section), the Operating Structures and the European Commission.
