Opening Ceremony for the first Call for proposals

On August 25th 2009, at the "Queen of Montenegro" Hotel in Bečići, Montenegro, took place the Opening Ceremony of the first Call for proposals in the frame of the IPA Cross-Border Programme Croatia - Montenegro.The Ceremony was organized by the Ministry for European Integration of Montenegro and the Ministry of Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management of Republic of Croatia.
On this occasion, a meeting between the Minister for European Integration of Montenegro, prof. dr Gordana Đurovic and the State Secretary for Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management of Republic of Croatia, Mr. Karlo Gjurašić took place.

The Ceremony was attended also by the Head of Operations at the Delegation of the European Commission to Montenegro Nicola Bertolini; the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia in Montenegro Petar Turčinović; the Head of Sector for Integrated Regional Development at the Ministry of Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management of Republic of Croatia Marija Rajaković, and Mayor of Budva Municipality, Rajko Kuljača.

The National Coordinator for IPA Cross Border Programme Croatia - Montenegro at the Ministry for European Integration of Montenegro Darko Kasalica presented background information about the Programme, and Sanja Todorović the Head of Joint Technical Secretariat of the Programme announced specific details of the first Call for proposals. The participants had an opportunity to view some video clips of success stories in cross-border cooperation from the region. The Opening Ceremony closed with a session for questions and answers regarding the Programme and the Call.
