Friday, 04 September 2009 12:29
Immense interest shown in first Call for Project Proposals

On August 31st, 2009, the Kotor Municipality Hall was completely filled with interested potential applicants, who came to participate in the Info Day organized within the frame of the IPA Cross Border Programme Croatia - Montenegro 2007-2013. The Info Day was organized and run by the programme's Joint Technical Secretariat in cooperation with the Ministry for Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Croatia and the Ministry for European Integration of Montenegro, following announcement of the first Call for Project Proposals on August 21st, 2009.

On behalf of the programme's Operating Structures, the audience was greeted by Mrs Ines Gotovuša, National Coordinator for this programme at the Ministry for Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Croatia and by Mrs. Ratka Sekulović, Chief of the Department for Cross-Border Programmes at the Ministry for European Integration of Montenegro. A welcoming speech was also given Mr. Enrique Aguado Asenjo, Task Manager for Democratic Stabilization - Operations Section as representative from the Delegation of the European Commission to Montenegro.

The Joint Technical Secretariat provided detailed information about the programme's Procedures and presented the key Documents forming the Application Package, namely: the Guidelines for Applicants, Application Form, Budget and Logical Framework Matrix. After each presentation was given, participants were encouraged to ask questions of interest to them concerning the programme application and selection process and which were immediately answered, often exhaustively by the representatives of the Operating Structures, the Delegation of the European Commission to Montenegro and the Joint Technical Secretariat. The potential applicants were interested to learn about a range of issues, including: co-financing, partnership, budgeting and other technical and administrative aspects of the application procedures. All questions raised together with the answers given will be uploaded onto the various web-sites of the Programme (Frequently Asked Questions or FAQ section), the Operating Structures and the European Commission.

Please, find attached List of participants, Presentation materials which were used and more Photos.
