Documentary film about the project

As a part of television show "Putem europskih fondova"  which was displayed on Croatian National Television,  a short documentary film about successfully implemented  project "Dubrovnik and Kotor - Cities and Books"  financed throw IPA pre-accession EU assistance in the CBC Croatia - Montenegro has been recorded.

ALL THREE BOOKS PUBLISHED WITHIN THE PROJECT HAVE BEEN PRESENTED

Dubrovnik Libraries, Dubrovnik and  Cultural Centre "Nikola Đurković" - City Library Kotor with its partners, Matrix Croatica, Department in Dubrovnik and NGO Prostory from Podgorica, presented, among other activities, all three books published under this project.

The book " Svijeća ispod glasa " is the first of three books among the project which was presented on 17 th October 2011. at the National library in Dubrovnik. The book contains a selection of Croatian and Montenegrin poetry. Chief editors of the book are academic Tonko Marojević and Montenegrin poet Alexander Bečanović.
The presentation among other visitors attended: Aleksandar Bečanović, Vesna Čučić, Varja Đukić, Ljubomir Đurković, Jakša Fiamengo, Vesna Krmpotić, Tonko Maroević, Jelena Nelević and Luko Paljetak.
The same book was also presented on 18th October 2011 at the concert hall «Vida Matijan» in the church "Svetog Duha" in Kotor, and patricipants on this event were: Jasmina Bajo, Aleksandar Bečanović, Varja Đukić, Jakša Fiamengo, Vesna Krmpotić, Mladen Lompar, Tonko Maroević, Jelena Nelević and Luko Paljetak.

A promotion of the book „Dosta je bilo priče" which contains a selection of Croatian and Montenegrin prose was also held among the project.
The book was presented in National library in Dubrovnik on 4th November 2011. Chief editors of the book are academic Luko Paljetak and Montenegrin writer Andrej Nikolaidis.
The presentation attended: Muzafer Čauši, Vesna Čučić, Varja Đukić, Ilija Đurović, Rade Jarak, Andrej Nikolaidis and Feđa Šehović.
The same book was also presented on 5th November 2011 at the concert hall «Vida Matijan» in the church "Svetog Duha" in Kotor.

The last of three books which were published as a part of the project activities is a selection of Croatian and Montenegrin drama titled
"Poslije Hamleta" presented on 17 th November 2011 at the National library in Dubrovnik.  Chief editors of the book are: PhD. Lada Čale - Feldman, and Montenegrin writer Ljubomir Djurković.
At the presentation following participants were present: Igor Bojović, Ivana Burđelez, Vesna Čučić, Ljubomir Đurković, Tonko Maroević, Davor Mojaš, Nataša Nelević i Luko Paljetak.
The same book was also presented on 18th November 2011 at the hall of the "Boka" cinema.

 
The promotion of publishing activity of Matrix Croatica

The second of six promotions envisaged by the project Dubrovnik and Kotor - Cities and books was held on March 17, 2011 in the church Sveti Duh in Kotor, where Matrix Croatica-department in Dubrovnik represented its own publishing activity.

This is the first project in the field of culture which is jointly realized by Cultural Centre Nikola Đurković- City Library Kotor and Dubrovnik Libraries (with partners NGO Prostory and Matrix Croatica, Department in Dubrovnik) and funded by European Union from the funds for (IPA) / Cross-Border Program Croatia-Montenegro under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) Component II, allocations for 2007 and 2008.

The participants of promotion were: Ivana Burđelez, president of Matrix Croatica - department in Dubrovnik, academician Luko Paljetak, professor Ana Marija Paljetak  i Vesna Čučić, director of Dubrovnik Libraries.The flautist, Ivanka Muhadinović, participated in the musical part of promotion.

The following people were present on promotion: mayor of Kotor, Marija Ćatović, general consul RH Božo Vodopija, Consul RH Radojko Nižić, vice president of municipality of Kotor Filo Biskupović and great number of visitors.

The next promotion within the project Dubrovnik and Kotor - Cities and books would be held on April 13, 2011 in the Central National Library ''Đurđe Crnojević'' in Cetinje, where the Institute of Historical Sciences HAZU from Dubrovnik would represent its own publishing activity.

 
The promotion of publishing activity of Maritime museum from Kotor

The first of six promotions envisaged by the project Dubrovnik and Kotor-Cities and books was held in Dubrovnik, on February 23, 2011. This is the first project in the field of culture which is jointly realized by Cultural Centre Nikola Đurković- City Library Kotor and Dubrovnik Libraries (with partners NGO Prostory and Matrix Croatica, Department in Dubrovnik) and funded by European Union from the funds for (IPA) / Cross-Border Programme Croatia-Montenegro under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) Component II, allocations for 2007 and 2008.

The goal of project "Dubrovnik i Kotor - Cities and books" is related to the improvement of library, culture and education exchange between citizens and institutions in cross-border area Croatia-Montenegro, as well as the establishment of regular cooperation between institutions and partners in Croatia and Montenegro, Dubrovnik and Kotor and regular exchange  related to the information about the book fund and its enrichment.

The publishing activity of Maritime Museum from Kotor was presented in this promotion. This presentation was organized by Dubrovnik Libraries and Matrix Croatica department in Dubrovnik  and their partners from Montenegro, the representatitves of Citi library from Kotor and NGO Prostory from Podgorica.

The participants of promotion were:  M.A. Mileva Vujošević-Pejaković, director of Maritime Museum, Ivana Burđelez, president of Matrix Croatica department in Dubrovnik, Gracijela Čulić from Kotor, Dr.Sc. and the professor at the University, Vesna Čučić, director of Dubrovnik Libraries and Aljoša Lečić, pianist from Dubrovnik.

The first press conference regarding the beginning of the realization of project Dubrovnik and Kotor- Cities and Books was held in Kotor, in the palace Bizanti on December 14, 2010.

This is the first project in the field of culture which is jointly realized by Cultural Centre Nikola Đurković- City Library Kotor and Dubrovnik Libraries (with partners NGO Prostory per Cultural Centre "Nikola Đurković" - City Library Kotor and  Matrix Croatica, Department in Dubrovnik per Dubrovnik Libraries) and funded by European Union from the funds for (IPA) / Cross-Border Programme Croatia-Montenegro under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) Component II, allocations for 2007 and 2008.

The following people participated in the press conference: Saša Milošević, director of Cultural Centre Nikola Đurković, Jasmina Bajo-project manager, leading administrator of City Library Kotor, Vesna Čučić -project manager, director of Dubrovnik Libraries, Varja Đukić-event manager, NGO Prostory from Podgorica and Ivana Burđelez, president of matrix Croatica, Department in Dubrovnik.
